The power is still out for several hundred in Berrien County from this weekend’s storms. According to the latest restoration estimate from Indiana Michigan Power, customers in the Buchanan area can expect the lights to be back on by 3 p.m. today, but it won’t be until 3 p.m. tomorrow for people in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph. At last count, I&M says they had nearly 900 customers without power in Berrien County. To the south, there are 33-hundred in Elkhart without electricity, with those customers expected to be back online by midnight tonight. Part of the St. Joseph outage includes Niles Avenue from the Ace Hardware store just south of Hilltop all the way past I-94 to the American Red Cross building.
