The Benton Harbor Farmers Market will open up for another season this week. On Wednesday, the market located at Dwight P Mitchell City Center Park will start welcoming customers at ten AM, and be open through three PM. The Berrien County Health Department says that the market will offer a wide variety of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as other activities, like cooking demonstrations, taste tests, and games for the kids. The Benton Harbor Farmers Market is operated by the county health department and supported by a grant from the Berrien Community Foundation. Organizers note that it does accept Bridge cards, Senior Project FRESH, and WIC Project FRESH coupons. The farmers market will be open every Wedensday for the rest of the season.
