The South Bend toddler who nearly drowned in a pool in Niles Township Thursday night has been identified as Marcus Criglear. He is two-and-a-half years old and was found unresponsive in the pool at his grandmother’s house in the 1800 block of Stateline Road just before 8 p.m. Criglear was revived by police at the scene and then rushed by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital. He is in critical condition as of 11 a.m. Friday.
