A meeting will be held next week for Galien area residents to offer their input to leaders of Berrien RESA on how the school district boundaries should look once the district is fully dissolved. Galien Township Schools have been in the process of shutting down since 2012, and the district is currently serving no students. RESA Superintendent Kevin Ivers says it was too small to operate.

It’s RESA’s job to make the final decision on how the new district boundaries should be set up, and on hand for next week’s meeting will be representatives of Galien Schools, River Valley Schools, Buchanan Schools, and RESA. The meeting will be held at the Berrien RESA Administrative Conference Center in Berrien Springs at one PM on Monday, July sixth.
