New Bangor Twp Manager Sworn In

Bangor Township now has a new supervisor, as the board of trustees on Monday swore in Cindra Bishop to serve in the position. She’s a Bangor area native, having graduated Bangor High School, who also has deep family roots in the community. Bishop’s grandfather, Bela G Kennedy was the township supervisor from 1932 to 1964, and her father, Bela E Kennedy, was a state representative for the area from 1971 to 1982. Bishop herself is an MSU grad who worked as an office and auction manager until retiring in 2009. She comes to the supervisor position following the resignation of Regina Hoover, who left in May to become the Bangor City Manager. Bishop says that she will strive to serve the area with diligence. Her term runs through the November, 2016 election.
