Pscholka To Talk Trash Next Week

Residents in and around Coloma and Watervliet are being reminded that State Representative Al Pscholka will hold a town hall meeting next week for everyone to learn about what’s been done in regards to the Orchard Hill Sanitary Landfill odor issue. Pscholka says that he’s heard for a long time about residents’ concerns with the landfill odor, and progress is finally being made.

Officials from the Michigan Department of Environment Quality will be at next Tuesday’s meeting to talk about the recent 45 hundred dollar settlement that was reached with the landfill over the odor, and Pscholka says he wants to explore further steps that could be taken to ensure the site remains in compliance. The town hall will be held at the North Berrien Senior Center in Coloma at seven PM.
