Bike Ride Across Michigan Starts This Weekend In Bridgman

Pedal Across Lower Michigan will kick off its annual ride across the state this weekend in Berrien County. The participants in this, the 34th ride that the organization has held, will gather at Bridgman High School on Saturday to get ready for their 271 mile trek from southwest Michigan all the way to Monroe, along Lake Erie. Prior to setting out on Sunday, everyone will be welcome to walk down to Weko Beach in Bridgman along Lake Michigan, and then back into town on Saturday. The overall trip this year will take riders from Bridgman to Dowagiac, and then to Three Rivers, Coldwater, Hudson, Dundee, and finally Sterling State Park in Monroe. The riders each year stop for each night of their six day trip at schools and camp out on their grounds. Around 700 riders are expected to take park.  You can find out more at PalmBikeTour.org .
