The 11th Annual Run, Walk, and Rock presented for the McLoughlin Family Foundation for Lory’s Place brought in over $51,000 for the grief healing and education center of Hospice at Home. The final total from the event two weeks ago was released Friday morning. The money raised by donations and by the nearly 1,300 runners and walkers who took part will be used to support unique bereavement programs and services for all who are grieving, regardless of their finances. By the numbers, there were runners and walkers from six states, 85 cities, and two countries. Ryan Leahy of St. Joseph won the men’s 5K run with a time of 15:47, while Jami Lynn MacGregor of Benton Harbor was the fastest woman and finished in 20:36. The fastest walkers were Nada Kramp of Stevensville and Steven Winkler of St. Joe. Information on the services provided by Lory’s Place is available at lorysplace.org.
