April Housing Numbers Showing Seller's Market Continuing

Sales of existing homes in the area continue to be strong. The Southwestern Michigan Association of Realtors is reporting the average selling price in April rose 16% from March to just over $186,000, while median prices were up 20%. The sales volume between the two months was stable, rising by 1%. For the year, the number of home sales through the end of April is the highest it’s been in the past decade. The numbers are for Berrien County and the western portions of Cass and Van Buren counties.
