10th Annual Concours d'Elegance Saturday In St. Joseph



The 10th annual Concours d'Elegance is Saturday in downtown St. Joseph. Dar Davis is the founder of the event, and tells us its a chance to get up close and personal cars that are rarely seen on the road.

75 cars from seven decades will be on display at Lake Bluff Park, with admission charges being $5 per person or $10 for a family with school-aged kids. According to ringmaster Bill Harmon, the show is by invitation-only for the vehicles.

The "Featured Marque" is the Dodge brand from Chrysler in recognition of the Dodge Brothers of Niles. The nameplate is celebrating its 100th year this year, and there will be a pair of Chrysler concept cars among the dozens of vehicles from the past 75 years. All vehicles that take part in the Concours has a requirement that they run, as they will take part in a Pass in Review at noon, 1:30 and 3:30 pm. Admission is $5 for individuals, $10 for families at Lake Bluff Park in downtown St. Joseph. The show runs from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday.
